About the Aubrey & Marla Dan Foundation

Charitable giving at AMDF is much more than a single act of generosity. Each gift is an investment in long-term success and impact.

Established by Aubrey & Marla Dan in 2002, AMDF is a private non-denominational and non-political family foundation. We focus our funds toward giving back to the community, building long-standing partnerships and creating impact through sustainable change. Our philosophy centres on our three pillars of giving – Community, Healthcare & Education – and our funding typically intersects across

these areas. At current, our funding priorities are in the areas of Youth Homelessness and Youth Mental Health, with the goals of increasing resources and eliminating stigma.

At AMDF we are not looking for a quick fix. Long term investment – financially, personally and in partnership – is how we honour the legacy of giving in our family. Our approach is one of leadership and active collaboration because for us, philanthropy is more than just transactional – it’s about goal setting and providing capacity using our experience, resources and expertise.
