Studio Programming

SKETCH is a movement where young creatives and leaders are celebrated and engaged as culture makers, perception changers, and collaborators in building creative communities. As a charitable organization and community arts hub, their mission is to engage diverse and racialized young creatives and leaders to access opportunities in order to experience the transformative power of the arts, build leadership and self-sufficiency through the arts, and cultivate social and environmental change through the arts.
The Studio Programming supports street-involved and houseless youth by using the arts as a tool for healthy self-expression, leading to better mental health. With a 7,000 square-foot studio, youth can drop in anytime and participate in artist-led workshops and programs. By providing a stable and safe platform, the Studio Programming allows houseless young people to build confidence and hone their skills in various creative disciplines, engage in professional development, and meet their basic needs through wellness support.

Our partnership has allowed us to empower marginalized youth, providing them with transformative arts experiences, leadership development, and self-sufficiency in the arts. Together, we are providing young people with the capacity to build sustainable livelihoods through the arts and work towards reimaging their futures and building creative communities.
