Let's Talk Science

San Romanoway Revitalization After School Program

Let’s Talk Science is a charitable organization that provides education and outreach services to support youth development. Engaging in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) both in and out of school allows young people to develop important problem-solving skills, creativity, resilience building and innovative thinking skills that they need for the future. Let’s Talk Science has 48 outreach sites across Canada, and 43% of Canadian schools used their programs.

The Let’s Talk Science’s afterschool program at San Romanoway Revitalization Association brings after-school STEM activities to youth in the Jane & Finch neighbourhood. STEM education can help youth to develop problem-solving, critical thinking and teamwork skills, which will benefit them inside the classroom and can foster strategies to aid in coping with life obstacles, such as poor mental health.
