SKETCH

NextUp!

SKETCH is a movement where young creatives and leaders are celebrated and engaged as culture makers, perception changers, and collaborators in building creative communities. As a charitable organization and community arts hub, their mission is to engage diverse and racialized young creatives and leaders to access opportunities in order to experience the transformative power of the arts, build leadership and self-sufficiency through the arts, and cultivate social and environmental change through the arts.
Our NextUp! Leaders Lab Program is a professional development program and experience focused on mentorship, education and networking. We provide tools to prepare young racialized arts leaders, with a priority for Black, Indigenous, Queer and Trans individuals, to step into strategic leadership of their own arts initiative and senior-level positions in Arts Administration. The Program is a mixture of self directed learning through online modules, in person networking events, and hybrid mentorship.

"Thanks to the generosity of the Aubrey & Marla Dan Foundation, SKETCH is able to support Black, Indigenous, Queer, and Trans leaders creatively shift systems and break down barriers that have historically blocked them from stepping into key leadership roles where the decisions they make will have a huge positive impact on their communities."
