Hamilton Regional Indian Centre

Since 1974, The Hamilton Regional Indian Centre has provided the Indigenous community with a place to gather, access services, and participate in Cultural teachings and practices. They provide wraparound services in a culturally safe environment to build trust and a sense of belonging, allowing healing to occur.

The Endaayaang Program supports Indigenous youth in the Hamilton community to obtain and sustain housing, create meaningful connections to their Indigenous roots, and build skills that lead to healthy and successful lives. Indigenous principles inform all practices, mentorship, and guidance, and the Endaayaang Navigators incorporate the Circle of Courage to teach youth mastery, independence, belonging, and generosity.

"We thank the Aubrey and Marla Dan Foundation for supporting Endaayaang and acknowledging our work to deliver Culturally appropriate services to Indigenous young people. Receiving this grant has not only allowed us to continue on our path to provide vital resources to support Indigenous youth but to create more opportunity to bring awareness to housing challenges faced by young people.”
